Although most of the Capers are found in the old Caledonian Pine forests, they can still be found in the commercial Scots pine forests that dominate the area around Speyside. Some are being restructured for the bird, so that food plants such as Blaeberry are available, along with other features that are important, such as wet areas for hens and chicks in the spring months.
